"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

I have wanted to join in Jodi's portrait link up for some time. During their stay in hospital the girls both had nasal gastric tubes taped to their face (it felt quite momentous when we removed them for the final two days when they could eat exclusively from me!), and whilst we could see past it often it pulled on their face and irritated their eyes. So we have kept the photos of them private. Since coming home I've been quite busy as you can imagine. So after 3 weeks I feel a bit more organised.

I think it will be important to capture the girls separately as well as together, as cute as twin photos are!

So here are my first two portraits. Credit to Rob who took them.

Maggie sleeping peacefully. Don't let that fool you, even though she's still only 2880g she can make a lot of noise!

Elisabeth's expression here is priceless! They are becoming so alert and taking in their surroundings and us.

  4. Just beautiful.

I am just loving the 52 project, it has also linked me up with some amazing blog's that I would have never found.

Our two had the nose tubes for quite some time also and we kept those photos private, they just seemed so vulnerable and we liked to keep everything about them close and safe.

Glad your girls are looking so healthy and gorgeous!!

  9. Such sweetness, Marian. And good on you for making sure they have separate photos. My husband was always photographed with his twin sister. He hated entering baby photo competitions at school as his was always the giveaway with the two of them! J x

  10. I love this challenge. What a great goal in their first year, the changes are phenomenal.

Completely different, I saw this in my FB feed (I follow a slingbaby page) and thought of you. It's from an Aussie - no idea if this even interests you, but thought I share it anyway

Hope you're going well and the weather continues to hold until the girls are doing longer sleep spells at night - getting up in the cold night is not fun.

  16. All my best wishes to you and your family! Your girls are adorable and having a twin is truly a gift. I can see this with my boys every day now, although there were times in the first two year, when I was not too sure about this ;-)

I am happy for you being able to take your little girls home! Enjoy these precious first months.
